The Intro

Knock Knock

The first close: open the door!

The most important part of the entire sale, is the first 20 to 30 seconds on the doorstep. All sales are made or not made in the first few seconds. We need to understand that our prospects are busy, and we are intruding on their time. Lets be honest with ourselves, do you get annoyed when a door to door salesman stops at your house? Of course you do. We all do! We, as consumers, are bombarded everyday with literally thousands of advertisements, and as a result we have learned how to brush off solicitations with smoke screen objections.

In sales we must understand our prospects. We need to understand that we have to earn their time and attention.

Hey, I won't take too much of your time. I just wanted to let you know what we are doing in the neighborhood OK? My name is Adrian Rhein and I work for Link Security, my title is: marketing director and home security consultant. What was your name?

Have you heard of us?

We have been around for a long time, we have a lot of customers, we have a great rating with the better business bureau, and our partners are the best companies in the home security and home automation industry. Have you heard of General Electric? 2GIG? Honeywell? Monotronics?
